Dawn- I totally agree about some things being better as leftovers. Last week I made a huge pot of baked beans (inspired by Jamie's "Cowboy Beans" from his new show, are you watching it?) and they just kept getting better. I just had the last of them for breakfast, thinking of making some more already!

Dana- I know, I was disappointed. There was some white chard about, but it was mainly wilted and sad-looking. I'm optimistic that there'll be some better-looking stuff next week, though.

Such a bummer about the chard! I got some in my CSA box - I wish you were a little closer so I could share. My husband is going to be out of town this week so my motivation to cook is low, but I have so much lovely produce that I'll have to figure something out.

Currently I have a pot of chili con carne bubbling away at the moment. I'm eating it tonight with rice and plan on having the leftovers with crusty bread tomorrow. I love leftover curries, bolognese and chili. The flavours are always much more integrated and intense.

After that, hopefully I'll also cook some decent lunches for the rest of the week as I'm so tired of buying over-priced unsatisfying sandwiches for lunch in uni.
