Sarah- Oh, good! I bet squash scones would be delicious with soup, actually.

Dana- Thanks :)

Kristina- Oh, I'll tell you right now about the pasta sauce:

I sautéed a couple chopped shallots with some chopped fresh sage and a teeny bit of garlic (I also added some chili flakes, as I do to almost everything). Then I added equal parts pumpkin purée and ricotta cheese (about 1/2 cup each) and grated in a bit of parmesan and nutmeg. Then I just tossed it with some al dente pasta and about 1/2 cup of reserved pasta cooking water (otherwise it won't be creamy enough)- voila!

I thought it was yummy but my boyfriend thought it was strange. I guess it depends on how much you like pumpkin!

Those are beautiful and I'm sure just as tasty as can be. That is certainly a perfect breakfast as far as I am concerned!

Like it! I made some squash scones tonight, so your question will be answered later in the week when I post about them. :) They are savoury ones, though, that I served with soup.
