Christmas day Veg

Notice I said Christmas day, not Christmas Day; we’re not that far ahead on this side of the pond! No, this arrangement is so named because the past two days have been “Christmas days” around here. Meaning that we’ve bought our tree, decorated it, caught a holiday concert and even spent a bit of time wrapping presents. Also, this is likely to be my last veg post of the year; a week tomorrow Andrew and I are off up north for our holidays, so it’s unlikely that I’ll find much need to visit the market next Sunday. Re-emerging: Almond Biscotti

Yes, it’s really me. I’ve been ignoring this space due to those twin drains on my time, work and school, but I’m still kicking. Unfortunately, my “foodie life” has been suffering somewhat. Meals over the last couple weeks have tended toward quick and easy, and baking has been thin on the ground. Look, I tried. To the best of my ability, I attempted to hold off the holiday season until next month. It’s only mid-November, and nobody really wants to be bombarded with Christmas recipes yet. But through a (misguided) desire to review my copy of Nigella Christmas on Kitchlit, I accidentally opened the floodgates.
