Yup, Im a fan of vegetables and Sundays, though sometimes I wish the two werent so extricably linked for me. Ive got a lot on my plate this week, so my trip to the farmers market was slightly less relaxing than usual. That said, this weeks shopping post (to be followed closely by a new recipe) will be brief.

If you look closely youll see that its not only veg up there: Ive snuck a bunch of daffodils into todays photo, too. Not technically a vegetable, but pretty just the same. Ive got them in a vase by the window, bringing a bit of life to this cold, dreary day.

Half of that Russian kale was earmarked for todays lunchtime tart, and delicious it was. Inspired by this recipe my sister posted, I used butternut squash and kale, and Ill be posting the photos and recipe later in the week.

Almost everything else you see -carrots, leeks, celery- was purchased for a soup which Ill be making later in the week. Im reviewing something a little different on Kitchlit this week, and this recipe, for a Proven
